A PMV (Porn Music Video) is a music-driven video edit that synchronizes pornographic clips to the beat of a song. Editors cut, layer, and time clips to musical structure: drops, kicks, vocal hooks, build-ups. PMVs are the adult-content equivalent of AMVs (Anime Music Videos), borrowing the same montage language and rhythmic editing technique.
PMVs are typically distributed as standalone videos. Some are paired with community-made .funscript files for synchronized playback on interactive devices like The Handy. The funscript dictates stroke positions over time, matching the on-screen action and the music. Most PMVs never get a script, and that is fine: The Edgy can play any PMV on the beat of its music.
The acronym PMV is sometimes confused with medical PMV (Passy Muir speaking valve), pharmaceutical PMV, or pigeon paramyxovirus. No funscript? It plays on the beat
Nobody scripted your favorite PMV? It does not matter. Load the PMV and pick Music in the player. A small AI model reads the song in your browser and finds its beats, and the device strokes on them. Nothing is uploaded: I never receive your file.
The moves follow the song: calm strokes in the quiet parts, strong ones when the music gets loud or the kick keeps going, and a new move with a full stroke on each drop. In the Music settings you can turn on a beat lane: a bar under the video where the next strokes scroll toward a NOW mark, one dot per stroke.
Three music sets come with the app. Basic plays full strokes that follow the music, Butterfly plays light flutters, and Beat Hits plays Cock Hero style hits on the beat, from single hits to fast rolls. You can also make your own in the editor. The arousal knob sets how big the strokes are: turn it up when you get close and they get smaller, until the device stops at 100%.

What if I do not have a funscript for my video?
Play it in Music mode. Load the PMV, pick Music in the mode buttons of the player, then pick a music set. A small AI model finds the beats of the song in your browser, and the device strokes on the beat: strong moves when the music is loud or the kick is steady, calm ones in quiet parts, and a full stroke on each drop. This is how you get synced porn on The Handy or another device when nobody made a script for your video. Nothing is uploaded: the analysis runs on your device, so I never receive your file. The first seconds can take a moment while the app reads the music. It needs a recent browser, like a recent Chrome, Edge or Firefox, or Safari 16.4 and newer. Your arousal knob still works as usual: turn it up when you get close and the strokes get smaller, and at 100% the device stops.
Can The Edgy make a PMV?
No. The Edgy does not edit videos, so it cannot make a PMV for you. To make a porn music video, people use a video editor, cut clips to the beat of a song, and export the result. The Edgy starts where that ends: it plays a PMV you already have. In Music mode it listens to the song of the PMV and moves your device on the beat, with no funscript needed. It does not save a script file either: the moves are made live each time you play. If you edit PMVs yourself, this is a quick way to feel your edit on a device before anyone scripts it. And if a funscript exists for the PMV, you can load it instead and keep the arousal knob on top of the script.
